Name Is Mavin in Mangwon: Ube Drinks and an Eclectic Seoul Cafe

Purple ube drinks against a mostly black-and-grey room: Name Is Mavin in Mangwon has a look of its own. My visit photos show an ube latte, an iced Americano and an ube banana pudding, alongside an interior filled with office-style chairs, records and cafe merchandise.
Finding the right place
- Korean name: 네임이즈마빈
- Address: 1F, 6 World Cup-ro 20-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul
- Copy into your map app: 서울 마포구 월드컵로20길 6 1층
Search this address on Google Maps.

What to look for on the menu
The names to keep handy are 우베 라떼 for the ube latte and 우베 바나나 푸딩 for the banana pudding. The latte in the photos is served over ice, while the dessert comes in a separate glass dish with a banana topping. An Americano is another option if your group wants coffee alongside the purple drinks.

Use the current menu at the counter for prices. These photographs are useful for recognising the drink and the spoon dessert, while seasonal selections may change.
An eclectic space, rather than a matching-furniture cafe

The room mixes wheeled office chairs, dark tables, display objects and a merchandise corner. It is a different stop from the pale-wood, matching-chair interiors you may have elsewhere on a Seoul cafe itinerary. The large lettering outside makes the street corner easier to identify.

A cat tower sits beside the seating area. If the animals are the reason you plan to visit, ask the shop what to expect before travelling.
Putting it into a Mangwon afternoon
Use the Korean shop name and street address together when navigating. For a flexible afternoon, leave room to explore nearby streets before choosing your next stop, rather than booking every coffee break to the minute. My Pasado Cafe visit notes offer another very different Mangwon cafe to compare.
